: The 633 has some problems:
: Details:
: 1. Engine will start cold.
What do you mean?
Well, if the car has been sitting for couple of hours and has completely cooled down, then the car will start.
: 2. Engine does not have much power.
Describe:
I changed the fuel pressure regulator, and now I have some power. The car surges, and shows brief seconds of good performance. Seems to sputter more when trying to get the car going from a stop.
Before installing the new f.p.r. the car barely had enough power to drive around. Pressing the gas pedal caused the car to run rough, resulting in no horsepower to move the car down the street. If I removed my foot from the accelerator the car would move slowly and the engine would run smoothly.
: 3. Idle will go up and down while cold. (normal idle to around 1600rpms)
Idle control valve- clean or replace!
I have cleaned the old idle control valve, and saw maybe a mild improvement. Just got a new one, so that may be my next step.
: 4. The car will not restart after warming up a little.
Describe:
After testing the car a little(couple of laps around the block), the car is much harder to start. Turns over just fine but almost seems if it has lost the spark or gas. This problem is better with the new fuel pressure regulator.
The car came with a one of the three factory manuals. When troubleshooting the fuel injection or ignition, the manual uses the phrases like "Hard to start warm" and "Hard to start cold". Sorry for giving to little info and thanks for your reply.
