Shifter Bracket Nut (archive)

I'm 2 blocks from work this AM and suddenly can't shift.
I limp it into the parking lot, pull back the boot and find that the bracket holding the shift lever has come loose at the front...

Does anyone know where I can temporarily scavage a nut to hold it on till I can drive home? Is it the same size as some other nut? Can I pull one off the shift tower or something? There's always bailing wire, but that's for Chevys.

The car's an 85 M635.

Thanks,
DD
