: Yes, your problem is most definately the bomb (the "hydralic pressure accumulator," as it is more formally known).
: .
: But, be careful with that chisel! Pumping the brakes DOES NOT relieve pressure within the bomb, it merely discharges the ATF fluid that is in the bomb. If you chisel into that baby, you just may have it live up to its nickname!

: I would simply remove the power distributor to which it is screwed (you will need a 17mm and 19mm crowsfoot wrench(s)), this is about a 20 minute job, but much safer. You can then use a vise and a filter wrench/pipe wrench to unscrew the bomb. That thing can be on there VERY tight, and this is the only sure way of getting it removed. And the safest.

: : Pump the brake 25 times to relieve pressure-MUST DO! Use chisel to chisel around the bomb to twist it out and replace. Let me know!

: : : I am having a couple of small problems with an 85 635. In the morning the brake pedal goes almost to the bottom. As soon as the engine has been running the pedal firms up. Also while driving and you apply the brake, for a split second the brake light (not the brake lineing) on the dash comes on. Any help would be appreciated.

: : : Thanks
