Looks like 11 and 38 is the ring and pinion gear teeth , so the ratio would be 3.45 to 1 . Not the optimum for fuel economy. The S at the end is probably for LSD, but it easy enough to spin the input and see if the wheels turn in the same direction(good) or in opposite direction (bad): I was in the local pick a part and found a 1980 633csi
