In 1985 there were 3,528 635csi sold and 296 633csi sold for a total of 3,824.
In the run from 1976 to 1989 there were 82,216 6 series cars sold which a great number for what was then the flagship car for BMW. The 840/850 replacement sold only 28,292 so you can draw your own conclusion.
Now what I would like to know is how many are still running. I would guess that over 50% but who knows.
