87 635 CSi - Need some info Please (archive)

I've been a VW owner for a long time. Looking to
move up to other fine German Engineering. I have
found a 87 635 CSi at a dealer. Asking Price is
$3550. It has 5 spd, AC. Not being familiar yet
with Bimmer's, what should I look at under the
hood and tranny to make sure it is a good deal
and won't need a lot of expensive work.
