The L6 was the luxury version, fitted out with every bell and whistle and gobs of leather. If you're more interested in performance, then you'll want to look for a straight 635csi or M6. If you're *only* interested in performance, then look at the euro versions of both of these, which generally are lighter and have more power.
: The only thing I can tell you is that of all the models(630/633/635etc.)of anyyear,the L6 had the worst power-to-wieght ratio because it was much heavier than the standard models with the same H.P.ratings and although it was identically matched in luxury features (like all leather and rear BEER cooler{so much for that whole drinking and driving NO NO})it didn't have the power of the M6 engine to counter-act that weight. I saw a chart listing all models and their power-to-wieght ratios and the L6 faired worst against any year
