The european has 36 addition hp over the US model. It is rated at 218 and 224lb torque (10+ from US spec). The euro does not have the large ugly black 5mph bumpers- they shouldn't decrease safety much at all, and it looks a lot nicer w/ chrome capped bumpers. Being 200lbs less in weight and having that extra power will mean BIG increases in performance. i do not know how u get it to pass inspection -- it has no cats. I think it also runs leaded 97 octane gas- but check on that. If you are looking for a performer, go w/ the euro. IF performance isn't a big priority, a US would probably be cheaper and easier to run.
