I think any '02 shifter will work! Got mine from a junk yard for $5- swap the whle shifter and that's it! Mine shorten about 40%.

: The shifter lower arm can be gotten from any BMW dealer parts, brand new for $25 or so, the '74 2002 was the p/n I used to obtain such a part. The reduction in throw is about 30% or so, with minimal notchiness, depending on the state of your tranny, of course. That (lower arm) was the only part needed, though it may be a good idea to change out all those nylon bushings at the same time to reduce some sloppiness. Those bushings were about $0.75~1 each. I don't have the p/n's off hand, can e-mail later with a list, if anyone desires.
