: I decided last Saturday to replace my plugs. Noone carried the Bosch Silber plugs (special order) so I tried these +4's. The car seems to run worse now, than with the old plugs. Also takes longer to turn over when starting. Anyone else run into a similar problem? Any reccomendations besides the Silbers?

Get NGK plugs (BP5 or 6ES'S), the bosch +4's will not run well in an older BMW.

The +4's are a new design plug with a 4 prong "surface" gap as opposed to the older standard gap type. They also will take lower voltages to jump the gap (weaker spark). Supposably they will give better burn on newer cars since the spark is no longer shrouded by the electrode.

I have had poor luck with them in older cars especialy those that burn a little oil. Seems they get fouled much easier.....
