My 84 633 has been acting uplately and I'm hoping you guys can give me some Ideas. My car has always had a fast idle, about 1250 to 1600 RPMs. I finally decided a few weeks ago to see if I could fix it. I took the ICV off and cleaned it with Gumout carb cleaner and readjusted the screw on the top side of the ICV. It worked fine for a few days, sometimes now it ocillates in RPMs, sometimes it oscillates and sometimes it Idles perfectly at 850.The car sometime goes through a whole day of driving perfect and the next day the problem comes back. It also seems to idle perfectly with the AC on. Was Gumout too harsh, and now the ICV gets stuck? I Haven't been able to find any vacume leaks.
Thanks in advance.
