I have to agree with Tom, my 81 633csi is in the shop right now with the same problem. The Guibo/Flex disc was falling apart and would cause a vibration in the shifter,along with a vibration from the rear of the transmission. Have it checked soon because if the guibo falls apart, it will damage the rear transmission where it connects to the rear mount.
