Rear tires wareing out in 1000 miles (archive)

Had the rear shocks replaced and the rear alligned. I'm still scrubbing rubber off the rear Michellins at an alarming rate. 1st set went in a 1000 miles "no hot rodding/racing" the fronts are perfect. I put another new set on the rear and had new shocks and an alignment done. I measured the tread to day and the new ones are 50% gone allready. Fronts show no wear.
What is my next step?
