For trunk lock, you need to find a good BMW specialist who has been working on the cars for a while. There is a technique for freeing this problem involving what seems like a lot of brute force! Something is out of place in the lock mechanism.
For the window, check that the circuit breaker for the window is pushed in all the way. Next, check the fuse. Then, pop off the little round access cover on the door panel and try turning the hex head "nut" inside with a socket and breaker bar while pushing the window switch. Next, swap the window switch with another one. If none of this works, you probably need a new window motor. Expect to pay over $200.
