635 euro trunk rust (archive)

i am looking at a euro 1980 635 can anybody tell anthing about these car as far as speed and handling, the one thing that i do know is that the only thing wrong with the car is that the wheel wells are rusted, he said if you bang on it from the ouside in it is solid but from inside the trunk their is rust. is this a common problem with these cars; can anyone tell me what i am in for as far as repair. i just finished restoring a 86 porsche 944 this is my next project
