: I heard this guy in CA "Hypercharged" his M88(Supercharger for Intake stroke/Intercooled Turbo for exhaust stroke), and Dyno'ed almost 600bhp! Anyone know who did it? Pics? Anything! Otherwise, I'm willing to pay upwards of $10k for a good, never-rebuilt M88.

It would seem a little strange to put a supercharger AND a turbocharger on the same engine. Even if you want more boost in the low rpms (which BTW would not increase HP). It would be better to use a twin turbocharger setup. Many manufacturers have done this.

Also to get to the 600 hp you mention you'd have to run over 14psi boost and maybe up to 20psi boost on the street. Not for the faint of heart....

Even the Dinan M88 cars of the mid eightees had a max of 550hp (and that was with a big turbo --and maybe some wishful thinking too...)

I've supplied a link to "blacky" site. With all the mods Zane has done he claims about 600 hp in a "standard" M30 motor.

And no this is not an E24 ..... but an E12!
