: Bright bulbs may get very hot and become a hazard... I removed the lenses and bulbs and painted the inside areas where the siver reflective surface was wearing away. I used bright chrome-colored paint. It made a big difference. On another car I used extra bright yellow and insignia red in places where the bulbs don't stay on. This gave a nice even look with lots of color.
