Radio Code is Kaput (archive)

Whats the deal? My radio code no longer unlocks the radio. Any ideas? Does it reset to some default code or do I have to replace the stinking thing? Which wouldn't be a huge loss, since the display hardly works anyway and the volume knob makes all sorts of noise when I turn it. But I would like to have a temporary noise source other than the engine til I can save up the money to replace the sucker. Thanks in advance.
