: Looking into buying an 84' 633csi auto. What should I look for? Any help would be great. This will be my first e24 purchase. Thanks.

I agree with FrankieD, the 5-speed is the way to go! If you're not used to shifting, your left ankle will be sore for awhile, but the hurt's so good! Ditto on what everyone says about shopping for 6ers-look for rust, complete docs, and well maintained and driven regularly. If possible, take your time and drive several with similar mileage and price-have the one you like checked out, then decide. They're great daily drivers and you don't see yourself coming and going! Good luck in your search Barry, I know you'll find a nice car.
