my seats were no longer giving adequate lower lumbar support esp. since being somewhat a bodybuilder, I have significant amt. of my bodyweight above my mid-back, this puts extra strain on my lower back when thrashing around turns, so I pulled off the back of the seat cover and re-stuffed the lumbar with scraps of "commercial carpeting" between the springs and the horsehair, 2 pieces 12"X8" was a perfect restoration of the "S"curve that I personally needed. This can be done on the bottom as well and is a hell of a lot cheaper than new seats. Hope this saves someone some extra dough!
