This is about what I get w/88 M6 also. I did notice with my 535i that I put a Jim C. chip in 2 years ago that it improved the gas milage a few MPH- as well as performance. I will be doing the same with this one soon. Not bad for a very fast ride to be able to get this king of milage. Much better than the 10 mpg the sales brochure from '88 claimed for this car! Of course I'm also sure if you stomp on it continually then the mpg drops significantly, my foot has matured significantly over the last 20 yrs.

: : I hate to do it, but I have to sell this car :(. It's on eBay right now, and I thought I'd post here, because I'd love to see this car go into the good hands of an enthusiast. I've learned the hard way how much an M6 costs to take care of and how much it loves gas :). I'm going to most likely end up getting a 635csi (I HOPE) or another, cheaper to maintain car.
