End result was a alternator that's correctly in line.

What are the symptoms of an out of align alternator? I have tightened the belt to reduce squeeking, but I think it may not be quite right yet. Warmer weather and it seems to be OK, but worried abot squeeking when it gets colder again.

Is persistant squeeking possibly caused by bad bushings? Can any mis-alignment be easily seen by visual inspection? Tough to look way down there on the M6, due to air box, intake, etc.

thx in advance
