Help A/C Repair Pricing (archive)

Need some help on pricing to fix the A/C on out 86 635csi. Here's what she needs:

New expansion valve
New dryer/receiver
High pressure switch
flush of system
recharge with R12 ($30/lb)

My mechanic quoted in the vicinity of $500. Anyone had this type of work done and what were you charged?
