I had roughly the same work done on mine by a shop in Atlanta two years ago for about $650.

Their per hour charge was $75, but well worth it, because they didn't hit me for troubleshooting. In other words, if they replaced parts that didn't fix a problem, they ate it. Price and value are not always the same thing...

i>: Need some help on pricing to fix the A/C on out 86 635csi. Here's what she needs:

: New expansion valve
: New dryer/receiver
: High pressure switch
: flush of system
: recharge with R12 ($30/lb)

: My mechanic quoted in the vicinity of $500. Anyone had this type of work done and what were you charged?

: Thanks in advance.
