Switch back to OEM exhaust for M6? (archive)

I bought an 87 M6 which needed a new exhaust so I went with a B&B Tri-Flo. Unfortunately, I find it way too loud for everyday use. I have also heard from some individuals that the stock exhaust won't win me too many points on the sound meter either. Because I have never actually heard the OEM exhaust for myself, can anyone offer any input on the stock system v. Tri-Flo and any noticable difference in performance (gain or loss)? I didn't find anything on this subject after looking through the posts for over a year.
