I had a triflow on my E-34 535i and was hounded by my family to get it removed. The posibility of having a normal conversation when at speed was difficult and I lost all the sound of 2 12" woofers that got drowned out by the exhaust sound. My '88 M6 has a stocK US exhaust and cat mated to Euro headers- there is no comparison in noise level vs what the 5 series had with the Triflo. Since I plan on doing a stereo upgrade and adding sub woofers there is no decision to make, go stock!: I bought an 87 M6 which needed a new exhaust so I went with a B&B Tri-Flo. Unfortunately, I find it way too loud for everyday use. I have also heard from some individuals that the stock exhaust won't win me too many points on the sound meter either. Because I have never actually heard the OEM exhaust for myself, can anyone offer any input on the stock system v. Tri-Flo and any noticable difference in performance (gain or loss)? I didn't find anything on this subject after looking through the posts for over a year.
: Thanks!
