: Hi: : I have a question for you guys. I just recently(2 months) replaced the auto tranny on my 1988 635csi with a rebuilt transmission from European Exchange. Now the transmission is shifting hard from 1st to 2nd on E and S but not when manually shifted. It happens when driving hard and when going slow but every now and then it gets smooth again for a while. I now I can call the seller and complain since the tranny is under warranty but wanted to know my options. Is this a signal that there is something really wrong or this is all it will be. The transmission I had before this one died after only 2.5 years and only 25,000 miles and it was a BMW tranny so I know that nobody does a perfect job rebuilding these. I am concern that I will get another tranny, expend more money, and still get another hard shifting tranny or one with an even worse problem. If this problem will not cause and even bigger one I might just stick with what I have and try Redline synthetic Fluid and see if it gets better. But if I run the danger of blowing this tranny and the hard shifting is a signal of that, I will definetly get another one from Euro Exchange and eat the $400 it takes to put it in. : Any ideas. What do you recomend? Any additives?
