85 635csi-push gas,no response,stalls,wont start (archive)

Hi Guys.

Lately I have had the problem of the engine running very rough when I start it up. I put it in first and it goes to about 1.5 and then without moving the gas pedal at all, the car acts as though I took my foot off the gas and then completely stalls out. Then it wont start for a minute or so. Then it starts right up and seems fine, although it is still running rough. Is this an electrical problem? Is it related to any of the computer boards or controlling units? HELP!
