I'm no pro, but when I did some radiator work, naturally an air pocket developed in my cooling system (which causes overheating). My friend and I bled it out by opening the bleed valve(found where the coolant goes in and out of the block right behind the fan) and running the engine until all the air came out and coolant started spraying out of the valve. If this doesn't work, you will have to sort of massage the coolant down the hoses as you bleed the system. You may also try to pour your coolant in through the upper hose that comes out of the radiator(pour into the engine). I hope this works. I've been through it, so I know your frustration. Good Luck, let me know how it worked.
