You don't have to remove the glass, if you have someone that can hold the glass while you create a prop inside the door. This is not enough by itself since you will be working inside the door and using a good deal of force. If you pop out your prop the glass will not come crashing down but it will begin to roll down at a steady rate. I used a prop and two rubber footed clamps on the glass right at the chrome. You will need to drill through the door to get a socket through the sheet metal and gain access to a bolt. I can send you some pictures of a spare 6 that I use for parts. It would be tomorrow and not too much trouble (I have a digital camera) but I will waitfor a request from you.

This is quite a chore but simple. I would obtain a quote first and evaluate the value of your time. Many shops will all but do this for $45 once you compare their discount on parts to your retail rate or online rate. It will take you all day and be sure to have a friend that can help not HINDER.
