: : I'm looking for an upholstery shop in Houston to re-do the Recaros in an 82 Euro. Any recommendations? Has anybody used Tony's Auto Trim or Texas Auto Trim? Any good ones on the west side (Katy area)?

: I had my 6-series on a 82 model done last year. Both fronts and backs. Call Aurelio of Rodriguez Auto Trim at 713-694-1123. They are off I-45 near the Beltway. He and his brother used to work for Texas Auto Trim and started their own business in a little shop at the back of their house. Don't be discouraged by their shop. I am extremely picky, looked for a year before I made the decision to redo my seats in leather. I found a Mercedes leather that matched my car perfectly. This was done last summer and looks like new. Give him a call, you will be pleased. Tell him the guy with the BMW with the dark red seats sent you.

I have used Aurelio myself on two occasions. The first was to recover two 320is Recaros for my old Tii...excellent job. The second was to repair and replace some seat panels for a 68 Ford Torino seat...again excellent job. I would highly recommend him...great prices as well.
