Newbie question: '80 633 engine swap options? (archive)

I'm thinking of buying a 633csi that needs a new engine (original one is now gone). My question is, what direct bolt-in replacement options do I have?

Can I put a 3.5 in it? If so, what other models/years can I look for in the junkyards (635? 535? 735? or should I just stick with a motor from a similar 633?)
