Check to see if you have air in the coolant system by opening the bleeder valve, check to see if you have "milkshake" colored oil, and do you have white smoke blowing out of the tail pipe? All these point to a bad head gasket.

: y car, which I have driven around for the past year has suddenly gotten very sick. It was running fine last night but when I went to go somewhere this morning started out not feeling right, slow acceleration, hard - funny steering, next battery light went on, next overheating.
: SO current symptoms are that the car is steadily rising in temperature to the red within 2 miles, battery symbol light is on, and very rapid idle. The first thing I looked for was a broken belt but the look fine. Help - any ideas what it could be.
