Just got this cool wind deflector with air flaps! (archive)

When I installed it, the space where the old one was left a funny discolored effect(due to it being there so long and the rest of the paint being subjected to the weather) Will rubbing compound and a new wax job help blend the color so that it will not bee so noticeable. Thanks
