: I am trying to troubleshoot a running problem with my wifes '85 635csi. It cold starts OK and seems to idle fine, but when I start to accelerate you can feel the hesitation start to set in as you run up the rpm. When I start to slow down you can feel the engine 'lope' at lower rpm's, 2000 or less.
: It has new plugs and wires, new dist. cap and rotor, new throttle position switch and I just put in a new idle control valve. Valve adjustment is OK.
: If it helps, I do have to crank it on hot starts. I am not sure whether this is related or not.

: As usual, I thank all forum members for reply's.

Could be... injectors are not operating; solution run a can of injector cleaner. Another possiblity is the O2 sensor. the O2 sensor is about $125 if you can get the old one out. Last but not least wrong plugs or improper plug gap. Thats all I can think of. Good luck
