Strange power loss.. help! (archive)

Hello all,

This problem has just started occuring in my 1988 M6. It is most noticeable when really taking off in 2nd gear. Right around 5-6k RPM the engine hesitates (still goes quick, but you can really feel it kick out), then all of a sudden.. BOOM, it kicks in and I'm off...

I speculate a fuel pump as I have just replaced the AFM and the Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR).. (Also radiator and thermostat if they matter)...

Any ideas??? When showing little civics a thing or 2, I hate just kinda "stalling" for a second..
