Your SI lights and Tach are symptoms of the SI board. Could be dead batteries or some other board problem. If it's the batteries, you can replace them. The procedure isn't too bad (I just removed my SI board to replace the batteries). Go to the Big Coupe Group FAQ for details on how to remove your instrument panel. Once you do that, you can get at your SI board. Be careful with your diplay needles (easy to bend). My '88 has two 3v lithium batteries. I had to desolder them from the board. I'm soldering wire connection in their place so I can mount the new batteries in an easier-to-access location. I won't know if my surgery is successful until I get my speedo back from the shop (the odo gears need to be replaced). The whole SI repair costs about $15 for parts along with 3-4 hours total work.Hap Aziz
