The follow up post is correct about the density effect, however if the difference is really marked there might be something amiss. The AFM measures the air temp in the inlet (the flap measures volume flow so it uses temperature to correct for density changes). It is possible that this temperature measuring circuit is awry - such that it is overcompensating for temperature effects. If you experience 'low power' for a long run, have a look at a plug and see if the mixture is off - I suspect it will be lean (does the engine get hot / ping under these conditions ?)

Unfortunately this circuit is not easy to diagnose - fault could be in ECU, wiring or AFM. Best chance is to find a friendly fellow 6 owner and try swopping components.

Does anybody notice a lack of power when the weather gets hot? As soon as the temp. hits + 20 deg C I notice a huge difference in power. Is this normal? Then engine runs great with lots of power in the evening when its cooler.
