I have cross drilled rotors on my M6 and they warp much less than the normal ones because they dissipate heat better (of course, they also look cool). On the other hand, unless you are going to larger rotors you will be losing friction surface. Because of this, you should (must) get steel lines which tend to compensate for the surface loss. And they are not inexpensive ($150-$200).
