The cross-drilled rotor is for the track. CC is right, the heat does dissipate quickly. Cross-drilled rotors are replaced on race cars on a regular basis.

A slotted E32 rotor can be retrofitted to the E24 (not sure on EURO M6). Slotted rotors are more solid, and act like larger rotors than they actually are, because they remain cool like the drilled ones. The slotted retain their strength, however, and have MORE METAL to dissipate the heat, as well as more rigidity.

Stick to a larger, slotted, E32 rotor (old 735i/il). They will stop you on a dime!!!
