Door buzzer (archive)

My '81 633's door buzzer always comes on with keys removed and door open. I thought it was only supposed to sound if the keys were left in the ignition with the door open. This buzzer is driving me nuts when I'm working on the car with the door open. Can anyone tell me where it's located and if it's operating properly?
