Does Monroe offer custom valving when you order a set? There are formulas, as I am sure you know, to determine optimal damping. Bilstein suggests calling them with applications as exotic as BMW and Porsche. ESPECIALLY with lowering springs.

I was not aware, however, that Monroes were so attractively priced. I certainly do agree that they would be a good choice if one HAD to have shocks, and could not afford 'Steins or Konis. If it is just a matter of pinching pennies, then the Bilsteins would prove MORE economical over a ten year timeframe. New Bogues are also quite nice for a few years, should he wish to keep it all German.

Please do not get me started on BOSCH! I think we are problably on the same wavelength there!
