Hey everybody, I just got a 85 635Csi. Ilove it, and while it is in pristine condition I have one complaint. It is very sluggish off the line. It does rip at higher speeds though. I think it goes faster 60-90, than 0-30mph. Can anything be done to remedy that, or is that just the way these cars are geared? Also it has a slight front end shimmy while accelerating moderately, approx thru 20-30mph range, and also a slightly wibrating brake pedal when braking thru the 40-30 mph range. Any experiance with that? Anybody? The only flaw in the appearence of the car is the steering wheel. The leather started peeling off. Where can I get a new, or newer stock one?

Get a 3.73 LS diff from an e30 325i, and replace the rear cover with yours, and replace the output shaft seals with new ones: Voila! Acceleration! BTW, Ditto on the upper control arm bushings.
