)The factory MOTORSPORT EURO exhaust does NOT have too much back-pressure.
)Believe what you will, an engine WILL NOT "adjust" ont its own to a reduction in back-pressure.
)Simply ading a K&N air filter is not going to increase your performance, nor should it dictate less resistance at the exhaust.
)The horsepower loss on the US M6 is not only a result of the Cat itself, but also BMW's "tuning-down" of the engine for EPA reasons. Removal of the cat itself will not boost the HP to Euro specs.
)I have the dyno sheet if anyone wishes to argue, and I stand by my numbers. My car is not chipped, or modded in any manner, and I refuse to ruin it with too little back-pressure. I will post the URL to Fayhey's websight, you can email him if you wish, and tell him "forget back-pressure!" He will laugh at you.
)Just because you have invested $1200 in a piece of scrap tubing, there is no need to flame me. I hope others will notice that I NEVER post insults or talk shit, no matter how different my opinion may be.
)The fact that an exhaust is LOUD has no bearing on its performance. The mean, throaty sound of a B&B may induce a feeling of higher performance, but it's just that, a "feeling."
)The BMW M series was designed to run with its particular exhaust. I trust engineers with names such as Helmut and Wolfgang to design my mufflers. Some redneck named Billy should leave his welding to Camaros and Mustangs, where he is probably better suited.
