best dashboard treatment? (archive)

What have you found to be the best product to use in treating/preserving the dash (and other interior vinyl/rubber/plastic)? My dash is in great shape with no cracks, but in some parts it seems more "moist" than in others, and I want to even the complexion out. Any suggestions?
