Sport position auto trans (archive)

Hope to find an answer, please. 87 635 select shift, has preformed very well for a long time. Today started the car went 6 miles, came to a stop, car just warming up selected the sport program took off and when I let off the gas and selected the E position car stayed in S position. Shut car off tried again and same thing. Got home tried 3 2 1 position and telltale dash light came on for this position. Is there a fuse that governs this or what?
