Idea for new 6er web site? (archive)

In searching around for info on the web, I've found a core of very helpful sites as I try to get my new project back on the road. Unfortunately, there's a lot of scattered information, and I've noticed a set of questions being asked repeatedly on the forum. Thank goodness people take the time to share their experiences...you always seem to get an answer.

Possibly a site that has more FAQ dedicated to the basics of the car. For instance, a listing of: engine oil types, reccommended spark plugs, ignition wires, exhaust systems, things to look out for when buying an e24, possibly a separate parts wanted/for sale area, etc. A lot of this stuff is buried in the web or on some distant message thread, but the current FAQ sites right now seem to get in a LOT of detail without some of the basics.

This is just an idea...I would love to help out on the site, maybe even host it. I'm also not trying to knock the sites and the people that DO have e24 sites up...I'm sure I've been on most of what's out there and it has been extremely helpful to me!

Also, if anyone is interested or has been compiling/grouping this information and wouldn't mind passing it along, please let me know - It could be easily compiled and put online.
