Wiper motor emergency control malfunction. (archive)

Arg! The allen head screw in my wiper motor emergency control has snapped in half. This is the small screw within the larger plastic hex nut. Does anyone know if this can be replaced or is it integral with the assembly? In other words, can I remove the snapped allen head screw by drilling out the remainder and just drop in another screw, thereby avoiding the removal of the whole motor? Thanks, Chris
