I've had my 87 635 in the shop (local BMW dealer) due to some AC problems. Coolant leak, and front AC not working (rear AC works) when fully charged. They tell me today I need to replace the "receiver dryer" and "regulating valve". Parts, labor, coolant refill, and taxes come to a grand total of $880.

My question is is this something I can do myself and save some money or do I just suck it up and pay for it. I live in Texas so not having AC is not really an option. Ive never really done any AC work so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Travis
