In Reply to: Is there an ac filter in the 6 car??? posted by Joe ///M on September 02, 2000 at 18:14:56:

my 6 car does not blow cold enough. Is there a filter under the dash? Thanks, joe.

Working on my newly ourchased 635CSi, L6 (dual AC system, cooler in back seat)
The AC needs recharge, I have added about 6 lbs R-12, and the system is still not full. Per the fill information it takes, about 3.9 lbs. The AC now is cold, 42 degress F, the expansion valve is cold, but I still have bubbles in site glass on Receiver/Dryer.

Does any one have a spec for capacity of the AC system on L6 ?

Next how do I get access to the drain on front evaporator? to check for leaks
I assume behind/under front console, but have not looked for it yet

Lastly, how do I get access to the read seat evaporator to check for leaks?
no book mention this and access

The leak detector I use does not "sound" any leak son either evaporator via vents, but I need better access

The AC system was totally empty whe I started, therefore there must be a leak, but cannot locate.
Any "educated guesses" out there?

Thanks in advance !!
